Earlier this week, Impact Food Group came into Ada Lovelace to deliver a presentation to our Year 12 T Level students.
Impact Food Group provide the catering for Twyford CofE Academies Trust. We are working with them very closely to design a programme where they will host our T Level students for three week blocks in 2027. This is such an exciting opportunity for our students to see and get involved in a number of areas of the business:
In Digital - the use of technology in kitchens, developing apps, sharing data
In Accounting - stocktakes, cash transactions, system inputs, analysing data
In Laboratory Science - cleanliness project, reporting on allergen management and noise and chemicals
Students will be doing a combination of working in Impact's Business Support Centre in Woking, Surrey, in operational kitchens locally, working in groups at school and working from home. This hybrid model represents the working world and will be a fantastic experience.
