Celebrating a Strong Start to the Year in Sixth Form
At Ada Lovelace Church of England High School, we believe that success should be recognised and celebrated in all its forms. Each half term, our Sixth Form tutors nominate students who have demonstrated the values at the heart of our 10:10 Ethic: making commitments to themselves and others, following through on those commitments, and laying strong foundations for future success.
The first round of tutor awards this year highlighted the many ways our students embody these principles. Across both Year 12 and Year 13, students were recognised for their outstanding attendance and punctuality, their positive attitudes to learning, and their willingness to contribute to the wider Sixth Form community.
Many of the students celebrated have embraced opportunities beyond the classroom, volunteering for school events, participating enthusiastically in tutor and pastoral activities, and supporting their peers. Others were recognised for their leadership, maturity in discussion, excellent learning habits, and commitment to personal growth and self-improvement.
Particularly pleasing has been the way students have demonstrated resilience and engagement during the opening weeks of the academic year. From making a strong start on T Level programmes to preparing university applications and personal statements, Sixth Form students have shown determination, responsibility and ambition.
These awards reflect the positive culture that exists within our Sixth Form. They celebrate not only academic commitment, but also the character, integrity and community spirit that help our students thrive. We are incredibly proud of the example they set each day and look forward to recognising many more achievements throughout the year.
By consistently demonstrating commitment, reliability, kindness and a desire to improve, our students continue to show what it means to live out the 10:10 Ethic and contribute positively to the Ada Lovelace community.
