IBM joined us in school yesterday to help deliver a range of workshops and keynote presentations to our P-Tech students.
IBM delivered an Agile Thinking workshop to our Year 7s. They ensured it was a fun session by briefing them to make as many paper aeroplanes as they could to a certain spec. Our Year 10s were introduced to the responsible use of ChatBots and also had the opportunity to ask our IBMers about their career path in to IBM during a careers Q&A session. Year 11 participated in a Design Thinking workshop run by IBM and both Year 10 and 11 integrated Skillsbuild into these sessions.
Meanwhile our Y12 Laboratory Science T-Level students played a significant role in the day assisting the IBMers and participating in a networking session with our guests from industry to discuss possible placements and forge connections. Our Y12 Digital T-Level students were fortunate enough to attend the IBM Think event in London.
The day was a huge success and thank everyone who was involved, especially Raj and Vikki from IBM.
