Our T-Level students enjoyed a day with a difference on Ada Lovelace day yesterday.
The Digital T-Level students attended the IBM Think London event. This event brings together business and technology leaders to share ideas and inspiring keynotes. Our students were put through their paces when they were interviewed by a film crew at the event about their experience.
Our Laboratory Science T-Level students really stepped up and had multiple roles to play on the day. They were encouraged to chaperone and engage with all of our guests from industry which included those working at the NHS, Deloitte, a digital agency, an executive search company to name but a few. They assisted IBM during the Lower School workshops and also shared their knowledge by helping with the science-based workshops.
During a specially organised networking session, our students had the opportunity to discuss possible placements and make industry connections.
We arranged for Dr Kate Darwin and Dr Janet Lee to talk with our Laboratory Science students about their career paths and they answered many questions from our inquisitive students.
