On Friday 9th February, 30 students from Ada Lovelace, Twyford and William Perkin High Schools attended a German literature trip to the Goethe-Institut. Students met renowned German author Shida Bazyar and were lucky enough to hear Shida read aloud from her novel Drei Kameradinnen. Ada Lovelace students then read parallel passages from the English translation Sisters in Arms.

Following each reading, students were able to participate in a Q&A session with the author, with some students even asking questions in German. Particular congratulations to Eden and Uma for chairing the event, as well as Hannah and James who read aloud.

Our thanks to the Goethe-Institut for organising. Studio Quantum is an international events and artist-in-residence programme from the Goethe-Institut, exploring emerging quantum technologies through the lens of art. The residencies will be exploring important cultural, ethical and ecological questions around the impact of quantum technologies.
