This week marks national T Levels Celebration Week. As we have just started our first cohort of T Level students, we're so proud to be marking this moment. We started offering T Levels in Digital Production, Design & Development and Laboratory Science in 2023/24.

T Levels are two-year courses that young people can take following GCSEs. Broadly equivalent in size to 3 A levels and accruing UCAS points. T Levels were developed in collaboration with employers to ensure that students will be equipped with the skills they need. They offer a mixture of classroom learning and ‘on the job’ experience with at least 45 days spent on an industry placement with an employer. With a T Level, students can progress straight on to skilled work, higher study or apprenticeships.

Minister for Skills, Apprenticeships and Higher Education, Robert Halfon said:

"T Levels are a great way for students to climb the ladder of opportunity towards a successful career with the right skills, confidence and career adaptability needed to thrive in the workplace...By establishing strong ties between education providers and employers, we are shaping individuals who can align with a company's values whilst building a skilled and versatile workforce ready to tackle the problems of tomorrow.”

Next week is Ada Lovelace Day and we are marking this occasion for our T Level students with a range of interesting talks and workshops...watch this space.
