We had 147 pupils in Year 7 and Year 8 taking part in the Junior UK Maths Challenge on Wednesday 26th April. The challenge encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems. The problems on the Junior Mathematical Challenge are designed to make students think deeply about what they learn in lessons. The top-scoring 50% of participants nationally are awarded a Bronze, Silver and Gold certificate. Students that are 'Best in Year' or 'Best in School' will also receive a badge to denote this on their certificates. We are looking forward to seeing some great results!
